The Philosophy of Kori-Tori Revolution

In modern life, a large number of people suffer from stiffness in the neck and shoulders.

Long hours of computer work, frequent use of smartphones, and poor posture create chronic tension deep within the muscles.

However, these deep knots are often difficult to reach with fingers alone.

Kori-Tori Revolution was born from a simple idea:

“To release deep muscle stiffness that fingers cannot reach — precisely and effectively.”

Rather than simply pressing on the body, this tool is designed to work with several key principles:

  • Naturally using your own body weight

  • Allowing a stable and comfortable posture

  • Adjusting the pressure point to match your own body

By combining these elements, the goal is to create a tool that allows people to care for their own muscle stiffness.

This tool uses no electricity and no motors.

Although the structure is simple, it is the result of many years of prototyping, testing, and refinement.

We believe that what the body truly needs is not a complicated machine, but a tool that works in harmony with the natural mechanics of the body.

Kori-Tori Revolution was created with the philosophy that

“Your body should be maintained by yourself.”

It is designed as a self-care tool that can be used naturally and comfortably in everyday life.

Why Wood?

For Koritore Revolution, we chose wood as the primary material, and there are several reasons for this decision.

First, wood has a balanced combination of firmness and elasticity.
It is not excessively hard like metal, and not too light like plastic. Because of this, it can create stable pressure when body weight is applied.

In particular, the beech wood ultimately selected for this tool has high strength and excellent weight balance, which provides very good stability when you rest your body on it.

Another reason is the feeling when it touches the body.
Because wood is a natural material, it does not feel overly cold when it touches the hands or skin, and it maintains a pleasant tactile sensation even during extended use.

Wood also has the special quality of developing character over time.
As it is used, its appearance gradually changes and gains a unique patina. We believe this is an important quality for a tool meant to be used for many years.

Koritore Kakumei is not designed as a disposable product used only temporarily.
It is created as a tool that can be used for a long time.

By using wood, a natural material, we hope to create a tool that is gentle both to the human body and to the environment.
